- 【Press Release】 A research group consisting of Prof. Yutaka Kondo, Yoshihiko Tasaki, Graduate student (Division of Cancer Biology, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine) made a new therapeutic drug that the targeting of TUG1 by anti-TUG1 coupled with our new cancer-specific drug delivery system (TUG1-DDS). This was collaborative research with Nagoya City University, The University of Tokyo, Innovation Center of NanoMedicine, Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research.

Exosomes, which microRNA cut out by editing mRNA in a cell wrapped with a lipid bilayer membrane, undertakes a role in signal transmission between cells, but its analytical technology is still under development. However, attention is being paid to the purpose of developing new diagnostic technology as it leads to various diseases such as cancer.
The iXstream, Inc. has established a technology to acquire particle size, particle surface, and intra-particle information as a series of data, and will start selling the nanoparticle measuring device "iX-Scale".

- 【Press conference】Dr. Kazunori Kataoka, Director General, iCONM, Dr. Kouhei Tsumoto, Professor, University of Tokyo, Dr. Yasutaka Anraku, Visiting Scientist, iCONM / Project Associate Professor, The University of Tokyo, Dr. Takanori Yokota, Professor, Tokyo Medical and Dental University and their research group designed and synthesized smart nanomachine® that efficiently deliver antibody drugs into the brain and succeeded in demonstrating the suppression of amyloid β aggregation in brain parenchyma at low doses in Alzheimer-type dementia model mice, and a joint press conference was held.

With this nanomedicine, we can treat intractable diseases like preeclampsia and preterm birth without drug distribution in fetus.
