On 12.13.(Mon.) We held a workshop was held at Kawasaki City High School for Science and Technology under the theme” super-aged society”. 37 second-year students of department of science were divided into six groups, along with imagining their own life in 40s in 2045 when “In-Body Hospitals” will be aimed to realize, they exchanged opinions with COINS’ scientists about what kind of science and technology is needed to solve the problems that can occur there. The students who were hesitant at first, warmed up because of the atmosphere created by the facilitator, and gradually began to have lively discussions.
Through the fruitful discussion with the students, it became a very meaningful workshop that draw smart life care in a further expanding super-aging society. It will also be an opportunity for scientists to gain new awareness and will be fully exploited in future research. We found out that industry-academia-government collaboration was very effective not only in research but also in education. We aim to make further contributions through his iCONM activities in the future.
At the 8th COINS Symposium which will be held on January 21, we will have a roundtable discussion on the theme of this workshop. Click here for details.
