Discovery of a new tumor vasculature permeating route that increases the efficiency of DDS (Drug Delivery System) towards cancer.

Static pores with high permeability were observed when comparing cancerous structures of blood vessels with normal structures of blood vessels . Tumors were engrafted into living mice to examine how the medicine influences the cell in details. The result showed dynamic vents larger than static pores opening for short times in the blood vessels where the medicine would erupt vigorously through to the outside of the vessels. This is a first-discovered new phenomenon in the world. This research aims to develop a new medicine delivery method especially for improving intractable cancer treatment effects.
This research result was appeared in English scientific journal Nature Nanotechnology on Tuesday, February 15.
