This issue was dedicated to Professor Kazunori Kataoka for celebrating his 65th birthday, and highlights his pioneering work in nanomedicine with great contributions in polymer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, biomaterials, drug and gene delivery. The special issue was edited by Dr. Horacio CABRAL, Dr. Kanjiro MIYATA, and Dr. Kensuke OSADA, who received great edification from Prof. Kazunori Kataoka. 【Media Coverage】 Apr. 14, 2016: Nikkei Biotech ONLINE published an article related to sonodynamic therapy developed by COINS-affiliated institution - Tokyo Women’s Medical University Institute of Advanced BioMedical Engineering and Science - and led by Yoshiro Muragaki, will begin clinical research by year’s end.
