On Friday, December 8, the 4th COINS Symposium was held.
On Friday, December 8, the 4th COINS Symposium was held at Kawasaki City Industrial Promotion Hall under the theme “Nanotech →In body hospitals →Smart Life ~Future Health care with Nanomachine~”.
In two oral sessions “Overcome Cancer by Nanotech” and “Heathy life span with “In body hospitals”, we had interesting reports and subjects raised from six speakers, and active discussions were held as there were many questions from corporate and general participants. Moreover, posters were presented by researchers and corporates (34) and lively discussion was carried on between participants and presenters. On panel discussion in final stage, we had a keynote lecture, short presentations and panel discussion by four panelists lead by Prof. Kimura as a moderator. There were active discussions on social systems, technologies and regurations such as raising vision and challenges “where the future healthcare is going?” , changing society and human being, and necessary movements to realize vision.
There were over 300 participants mainly Kawasaki citizens and companies, and it was an excellent opportunity to be interested in COINS research by people who crossed the barriers of the COINS members.
