The 7th General Meeting was held in the main conference room at the Life Science & A Environment Research Center (LiSE) on Thursday, January 26, 2017. This meeting is held semi-annually with participation of all participating institutions.
COINS has entered the second phase (FY 2016 - FY 2018) and acceleration of practical efforts to implement the research results into society is required.
In this time, we held a panel discussion after the presentations of theme leaders and participating organizations on the themes of this fiscal year's results and future plans. The active discussion on new research theme and venture efforts was exchanged. Moreover, there was a lecture of Professor Kohei Soga, Tokyo University of Science which will participate in COINS from next year on “Biomedical Imaging on NIR II/II (I OTN-NIR)” and report about intellectual property policy by research promotion organization.
30 posters were presented for the poster session and active discussions were held in front of the posters. At the conclusion of the meeting, three COINS Advisors gave review of the meeting. It became a fruitful meeting for the participating institutions to further strengthen the unity toward realization of "In body hospital".
