Dec. 15 (Thu.), 2016, 3rd COINS International Symposium was held at Kawasaki City Industrial Promotion Hall. The theme of the symposium was "Towards Smart Health Society – Challenge of Kawasaki based Medical Innovation" In two sessions of "Medical Innovation / Forefront of Technology" and "Forefront of medical Innovation Eco-System", there were very interesting reports and issues raised by nine speakers and since it was the first international symposium, many questions and active discussion were followed. During the poster session, posters of researchers and companies were exhibited and the active discussions were exchanged between the attendees and the presenters. In the 4th session, a panel discussion was held by four panelists and Research Leader Kataoka with a short presentation and Project Leader Kimura as a moderator, with the theme of "The Future of King Skyfront", a special strategy zone for national strategy of manufacturing in Kawasaki City. For the future of King SkyFront, vigorous discussion was held on future prospects and issues with participants. About 300 attendees in the symposium held in Kawasaki city for the first time, it was an opportunity for Kawasaki citizens and businesses to be interested in COINS research and for the realization of smart life care society from Kawasaki It became a meaningful symposium to further strengthen determination.
